  1. Work Visa Green Card
Work Visa Green Card is obtained by being employed by a Mexican company, obtaining temporary residence, and then maintaining it for more than four years, you can obtain permanent residence in Mexico. The requirements for work visa green card are relatively simple, as long as the applicant is within the working age range. For applicants who are not good at language, they can only apply for some positions that do not require language, such as chefs, barbers, etc.
  2. Economic Independence Green Card
The requirements for economic independence green card are to have a monthly average balance of not less than 5,000 days of deposits of Mexico’s current statutory minimum wage for more than one year, or to have a monthly after-tax income of more than 300 days of Mexico’s current minimum wage standard. Mexico’s statutory minimum wage will be adjusted dynamically according to time, so it is impossible to give a fixed value.
  3. Dahe Green Card
People who meet the Mexican Dahe standards and have lost their legal status in Mexico can obtain a four-year temporary residence according to this item. If this residence needs to work, a work permit is required. It can be converted to permanent residence after four years.
  4. Marriage Green Card
If the applicant is married to a Mexican, he will be eligible to apply for a Mexican temporary residence card. This type of residence can be converted to permanent residence if the marriage continues after two years. Our office does not recommend this route.
  5. Family Reunion Green Card
Both temporary and permanent residents in Mexico can apply for family reunion immigration for their spouses, minor children, and parents of both spouses. The residence period of the dependent applicant of the temporary resident shall not exceed that of the main applicant.
  6. Adoption Green Card
This type of green card is not actually a separate category. It is a sub-item of the fifth category of green cards. If the applicant has a minor child with legal status in Mexico, he can directly obtain a permanent green card.

Note: Mexico is a country where you can have citizenship at birth. If a child is born in Mexico, then his parents, parents’ parents, and minor brothers and sisters will be eligible to apply for Mexican permanent residence.
The Mexican economy has benefited greatly from the North American Free Trade Area and the restructuring of the global industrial chain in recent years. Tens of thousands of Chinese-funded factories have been established in the past three years, and the number of Chinese entering Mexico has increased by orders of magnitude. If Chinese citizens have a Mexican green card, their freedom of global travel will be greatly enhanced, their children will be able to get better educational opportunities, and their family financial management will also have an international perspective by legally opening overseas accounts.
